Hi JSR.  I have been on the Mercury twice.  I went to Alaska on it about four months ago.

I ate  at the Palm Spring Cafe several times. It has a totally different menu than the main dining room.  They had great food. I liked their french fries.

The waiter takes your order and then you go serve yourself the appetizer, salad, and soup.  You then ask the waiters to take your tray to your table. When the entree is ready they bring it to your table. They give you a lot of food.  They charge a $2. TIP to your cruise card for service.  I also gave the waiter an extra tip in cash. I used to joke with them that if they didn't give us great service I wouldn't tip them the $2. DOLLARS. The

fee is optional if you feel the service wasn't great.  It was a cool place to eat dinner because you could feel the breeze coming in from the outside.

They have a great breakfast, and lunch buffett.   I like to eat in the main dinning room

because they serve great  EGGS Benedict , and Lox and bagels.  I plan to try the Salmon omellets on Nov. 22nd when I cruise again on the Mercury.

You must remember to go to the TEA TIME buffett   at 4P.M.  They have lots of sandwiches, cookies, pastries, fruit, etc.  I take plastic baggies to take some of the goodies to my cabin. You can also take a plate of food to your room.  I don't like to bother with room service because the workers work soooo hard for the little money they get. They only get $25. DOLLARS EVERY TWO WEEKS.  I tip them all well. They depend on tips. That is why the service is great.

I will see you at the Cruise Critic Party  on Nove. 22nd.  Lucy Ramirez, Cabin #8231.
