I will be sailing on Mercury this fall. Is there anyway to find out what the menus will be like? Are all the Celebrity ships similar? Anyone remember some of the main courses?

They have been the same for the past 5 years I've been sailing on Celebrity...so if you look at one ship, they all follow suit....the food is very good.

The menu has always been the same except for the odd dish on all of our Celebrity cruises. It's all good! :grin

I just got off the Mercury. Basically there are 5 main entrees each night. Generally one is a fish, a vegetarian, a beef, a chicken and one special. Plus each night you can get a steak, chicken, caesar salad and shrimp cocktail.

We just got off a Celebrity ship and our waiter in the Normandy restaurant told us that all menus on celebrity will be changing this year in all their dining areas.

I thought they were on a 21-day cycle, although www.cruiseclues.com says it's 14 days. Anyway, if you are lover of lamb as I am, you will find it offered more often than on other lines. It usually was quite good. The fish on our recent Horizon cruise was ok, but uninspired. Overall, I think the food is better than on Princess and HAL.

We were on an eleven day Horizon cruise in January and the menu did not repeat.
You can take it to the bank that you will be offered lobster tail, prime rib and baked Alaska at least once during your cruise.
I believe shrimp cocktail and Caesar salad are available every day.
On our last cruise, we relied on our waiter once we had narrowed down the menu choice. We were at the second seating. He always knew the better choice. In addition, he would always have a comment about , "Well, we are going to have shrimp cocktail on the menu again tomorrow night. Or, the beef is a bit overcooked tonight. He was a great help in picking great items and having a very varied menu during our a cruise. The downside was that he was very disappointed if you didn't follow his advise after requesting it.
Here is a website that has some typical Celebrity menus. http://cruiseclues.com/
Enjoy!

The menus are virtually identical to those listed on cruiseclues.com .Every night the first choice is a fish dish ,always a chicken (one night turkey) a lamb or veal and a beef.
The lunch buffets are really beautiful and you don`t have to stuff yourself but it takes a day or two to figure out where everything is.
