if you have chosen traditional dining are the menus posted before you go in to the dining room? The reason being, we would like to try other dining options but my son said he will mutiny if he misses his lobster dinner. We will be on the Carrb. in august.

Yes---menus are posted for dinner early in the day--I think at breakfast! Or when you get on the ship, go to the dining room (where people are trying to change their dining preferences) and you may find someone willing to tell you the schedule for the week's dining. Also, on the first day ask your waiter what night they will be serving lobster, and explain why. A good waiter will make sure you know when your lobster is coming!!!

I may be wrong... but I think lobster may usually be served on one of the formal nights...?? But yes, the menu will be posted daily outside the dinging room.

On Princess the food is the same whether or not you choose to dine in the traditional dining room or the Personal Choice dining rooms, so it's just the buffet or the extra charge restaurants that would have different offerings.
And as stated lobster is formal night so if you book off on another night( there are 2 formal nights on a 7 day cruise) then you should be safe from "mutiny" ! LOL
