Its easy to see why they switched back to a Canadian Port for the "Jones" act shuffle of course and Alaska is actually almost a day closer on the water from Vancouver also which I think is likely the real reason and the reason that most cruises with slower ships started from here in the first place years ago.Plus of course Vancouveis much nicer. (said with tougue in cheek of course)
