I am booked on the Mercury for the December 13th Cruise and have a few questions about room 8007 or 8004 on either Mercury or Galaxy (I'm booked in 8007).

Has anyone stayed in these rooms? How do they differ in layout/size from the Standard Cat 5 rooms? From the deck plans they look significantly larger - that's why we chose 8007.

Additionally is there much early morning docking noise (Thrusters, Ropes, Anchors, etc), or any late night noise from the Show lounge???

If anyone has info or pictures to share I would greatly appreciate it. This will be our first time on Celebrity and we can't wait.

We stayed in 8007 for an Alaska cruise last summer. These are great cabins. They are much larger than standard. The window faces the front of the ship, so you get a much better view. The room has a large area near the door that gives you room to move around. It is large enough that we had a roll away bed put there for our 4 year old. The bed faces the window and there is about double the room at the end of the bed compared to a 'normal' cabin. On the other side of the bed is the standard couch that folds out into a twin size bed. Standard bathroom and storage. No noise or vibration at all. The crew has a pool just below your window...I think in warmer weather, you might see some interesting goings on out there. In Alaska, just the occasional smoke break. Hope this info helps. We would book this room again in a heartbeat.
