This may have been posted already so sorry if it has. I saw in the local paper today that the Norwegian Majesty will no longer be leaving from Charleston SC but Celebrity has extended its cruises on the Mercury out of Charleston into 2011

Enticing indeed and especially since we just happen to have a ghost booking in hand. :grin Will have to keep an eye on this one and make a decision before they all sell out. :dance

Red and E come on with us, there's another couple from the UK too, that would make 3 electric kettles on board :clap:

The Mercury was the first ship we ever cruised on and we were upgraded to a Royal Suite. How was that for good luck, we were well and truly gobsmacked when we entered the cabin! :D

We too have a ghost booking in hand and are holding it for a smaller ship like the Mercury. And going out of Charleston would be awesome. Don't know when we'll use it, but we will. :)

I should have said we are booked in February 2010 on the Mercury with the friends from the UK and we will be looking at 2011 too now :D

Thanks BarbaraK for the invite. I'm pretty sure that 2010 is out for us for cruising. I will keep my eye on the rates though. ;) ;)

A question re: Mercury in Charleston in 2011

Hello all,

For those with the info:

The Vacations to Go site has shown a Panama Canal cruise with the Mercury leaving Charleston, SC for Los Angeles on April 10, 2010. This is obviously a repositioning cruise to set the Mercury up for the 2010 summer Alaska Run .

Do any of you show this particular cruise itinerary repeating in 2011?
