I am taking my 4 teenage children on the Mariner of the Seas in April. Has anyone felt uncomfortable in Mexico due to all the recent events or did you feel safe in the ports?

Thanks!

Hi,
We were in the Mexican Riviera last year. Only my husband and I went.

We just got back from Eastern Caribbean with our 3 teenage Sons.

My husband and I thought it was better in the Caribbean with the boys. The ports were very calm. Not all that hussling and bussling. When vendors approached you they were pleasant. When you said "no thank you" they said your welcome and walked away. No hounding. Very polite.

In Mexico we were hounded every step we took. I'm really glad the boys didn't experience that during this trip. It can get very overwhelming at times.

Our Son's really enjoyed being on the Freedom of the Seas. It was very safe for them to have the run of the ship on their own. Although we were together most of the time (during ports and dining) they also got to experience some time on their own with kids their own age. They enjoyed the teen night clubs and meeting so many people. They hated to come home so soon.

I hope this helps!

Nadia
