Miami to Ft Lauderdale

Can anyone tell me please, if I land at Miami airport, how do I get to Ft Lauderdale to connect with the ship, and how long does it take.
I'm flying from the UK. Flights to FT Lauderdale are a pain as there is a wait of four hours connecting at Chicago or Philadelphia.

Port Everglades is about 30 miles north of the Miami airport (35-40 minutes). We've done it by renting a car -- it's usually pretty cheap, and if you drop the car at the Fort Lauderdale airport, there's a free bus over to Port Everglades, which is only about 5 minutes from the airport. You can drop your bags and your passengers off at the ship, then run the car over to the airport.

You could also just take a taxi -- which I think is around $50-60, or the Super Shuttle shared van service. I know there are other shuttle services too -- I'm certain you'll get more suggestions in reply to your post.

If there's just two of us, we wouldn't rent a car. We thought there maybe a service between the airports, sort of a bus one can get at Miami airport that goes backwards and forwards to Ft Lauderdale.
We intend staying over at the Embassy Suit hotel is that expensive?

Princess offers transfers from mia to the pier. You must fall within their flight guide:Dlines for independent air arrangements. Call 1800 princess.

Yeah, but then you have to stand around and WAIT until they have enough passengers to fill the van/bus. If you don't mind being "herded" and waiting, it's definitely cheaper.

Embassy Suites have rooms you can book with transport to the ship included which is good.
We have to find out now how we get from Miami airport to the Embassy suites.
I could ring Princess but doubt if they'd let us on a coach....worth asking though

Depends on how many people in your party.

2 people a cabin will cost about 75. one way.

A car service will cost the same.

more then 2 look into a limo service = we used www.larryslimo.com for 6 adults with luggage- 33.00pp round trip which included our tips.

another good site is www.floridalimo.com
