Are there midnight buffets on Princess ships anymore? We are going on the Star to Alaska next month. Just wondering.

As far as I know, no they don;'t. They have 24 hour buffet instead. I am not sure about the Star and the Alaska itinerary.

We were on the Grand last month and they did not have any midnight buffets. We really missed them. We don't need them every night , but a couple of nights are nice. It is nice to see the ice sculptures and the fruit carvings etc. and to be out on the pool deck on island night is our favorite. Going on the Navigator in Sept. I hope they still have them.

We were on the Dawn for the 10 night sailing in Jan. and they had a Island Night Buffet at the pool. On the Golden P cruise last Nov. (7 Day Eastern) there was NO buffet. So perhaps its only on the longer itineraries that they still offer the Midnight Buffets.

What about the "Gala Buffet" with the candies,cakes,etc... ?

No special buffets of any kind on the 7 night cruise. Just the regular buffets in the buffet court restaurant.
