We will be going on our first Princess Cruise in April, and my wife wants to know...okay, I do to...does Princess have the midnight buffets?

Thanks!

I can't answer for all ships but our recent cruise on the Coral Princess had no midnight buffets :( This was a switch from our last cruise on Princess 4 years prior when they had a wonderful midnight buffet.

Hopefully someone can say otherwise but I have a feeling that buffets are or will soon be a thing of the past on Princess. However, the Coral DID have the Horizon Court open for meals/snacks 24/7, so that cushioned the blow ;) I got in the habit of waking up about 5 a.m. for a coffee and snack :grin Hopefully your ship will have this option too.

Thanks Raven!

We're sailing the inaugural voyage on the Caribbean Princess...so it's hard to know what to expect.

Greetings! As an avid traveller on Princess..there is no midnight buffet on the Grand, Golden or Coral. The Horizon Court is open 24 hours and they have a full-buffet. So if you're hungry at 3am - you can have a full meal or breakfast. You'll never go hungry.

Beware though... On average, a traveller gains a pound per day on a cruise! There is always something to eat and it is so well presented, that you just want a "taste" and oops.. "all gone". Excellente!

We're off on the new Diamond Princess on June 19 to Alaska.

Enjoy your trip... and hey, what the heck... why not post how much you gained (haha).

Hello everybody!

We never sailed with Princess before and I’m wondering if there is the Chocolate buffet on Golden Princess on 7 nights cruise?

Can’t wait anyway!

No chocolate buffets on Princess cruises as far as I know,..there is Caribbean night on deck with a HUGE party..and there is a gigantic spread there afterwards..food 24/7 in the Horizon Courts and pizza available probably 18 hours a day in the pizzeria..-yummy!!!.Believe me when I say there is food all over the gosh darn place pretty much round the clock..we take the stairs and have our room on the top floor to encourage lot's of exercise..I only use the elevators on Formal nights as I"m in 4 inch heels and Hubby helps me as it's easier than 7 flights of stairs!!..Have a great time gnoshing your way through Princess..Their desserts are to die for..We cannot wait till our next cruise!!!. Never had a bad meal in 10 years on 4 cruises!!!....:grin..Joanne.

We traveled with my Dad on the Ocean Princess to Alaska a couple of years ago. I was telling my Dad about the Midnight buffets we had enjoyed on our earlier cruises. We were surprised to find Princess had no Midnight buffets. After reading literature on our up coming cruise to the Panama Canal on the Island Princess I see no mention of midnight buffets on that cruise either. I suspect Princess has done away with them. However as other people have mentioned the Horizon court is always open so you can't go hungry. But I did miss the elaborate displays of the midnight buffets, especially the Grand buffet with all of the ice and butter sculptures and fancy bread and pastries.
I talked to a friend that just got back from a cruise to the Caribbean on Carnival. He said they still have the midnight and Grand buffets.
Even without the buffets it's a great time.

Our first 2 cruises were on RCL and we made sure we went to the Midnight buffets. In looking back, I realize what a HUGE waste of food that was. Most of it was never eaten and when you cruise to places like St Lucia and Belieze where the annual income is under $1000 one begins to feel kind of guilty. I for one have not missed and will not miss the midnight buffet. If I want a piece of chocloate cake at 1 am, I just go to Horizon buffet.

We were on the Grand and there was no midnight buffet. You have 24hr. room service and the Horizen court buffet is also open 24/7 so you will never go hungry.
