Hi Becker,

We made the trans Atlantic repositioning cruise on the Millennium last year, and enjoyed it so much that we are making the west bound trans Atlantic on the Constellation this year. We went to St Martin instead of Bermuda so we were somewhat south of where you will be crossing. We had great weather and mostly smooth seas last year and also on RCI's Splendour when we made the same crossing a few years ago. You will be crossing late in the hurricane season so you will probably miss most of the big storms, but there is usually a low pressure system east of Bermuda that could generate some rough weather. You have to realize that you are out in the middle of the ocean and the weather can be somewhat unppredictable. You are on a great ship and the itinerary is very interesting, if you enjoy the sea days, as we do, you are in for a great experience.

Thanks Peter, I think your advice might just clinch our booking on this ship.
The price in the U.K. for this trip is excellent so here we go!!!!!
Many Thanks

Hi Becker,

Originally we found the price of these repositioning cruises to be a major attraction, when you have enough time to take advantage of them. We have come to prefer these cruises for not only the lower per diem price, but for the mix of sea days vs port calls. We are leaving in three days for the Constellation trans-Atlantic, and will be looking at the 2005 trans-Atlantic itineraries of the Constellation and Millennium for an on board booking. Hope you have a great cruise.

We have done this cruise twice and are booked on the 2005 cruise. We had great weather each time.
We find this cruise to be the most relaxing.
This cruise is a little different than our previous transatlantics on the Millie - first of all, it leave 2 weeks later than last year, and second, it has a more port days and heads to Bermuda instead of St. Martin and St. Thomas. The weather is the luch of the draw. Last year, the Connie left Barcelona the day before us going to San Juan. They had more ports than we did and ended up behind us. We had great weather - it only rained twice - both times when they had the poolside buffet. The Connie hit a lot of rain.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
Hope you join us on this cruise.

Hi Daysatsea,
It looks like you're dedicated Celebrity cruisers like ourselves[if it's not broken why fix it]
We like to take 2 cruises a year and living in the north of the UK where the sun is at a premium we like to feel the sun on our backs on holiday. This was why we were a little hesitant about the Transatlantic but I think we will book for next Novembers[2005] when we are on the Century this November. Our cruise itinerary is as follows
Nov 2000 Century Western Carib
Aug 2001 Millie Med
Apr 2002 Millie Eastern Carib
Nov 2002 Summit Ultimate Carib
Apr 2003 Mercury Carib
Aug 2003 Millie Med
Apr 2004 Summit Ultimate Carib[alternative]
Nov 2004 Century Eastern Carib
Apr 2005 Infinity Transcanal
Nov 2005 To be arranged
May 2006 Summit Hawaii

Thanks for your advice we may see you on the Millie next year.Happy cruising
Becker

Becker -
Hope you decide on the Millie. We have had a great time on her for two transatlantics so far and are planning on another great experience next year.
