Millennium Balcony Question

Looking to maybe book an 11 day on this ship in Feb of 2010. I have never sailed on Celebrity and need some help in choosing a balcony category. Are there any categories that have a little bit larger balcony. Hopefully I don't have to book a suite to do this but just though I would try to get some help in case there is a category I can look at. Also curious how high of a deck I can get without having the deck above hanging out over our balcony. Thanks for you help.

Stive1,

By all means follow the link that Tammigirl provided. It will give you a list of cabins with larger balconies.
You also asked about avoiding the overhanging deck above your balcony. If that concerns you, do NOT
book anything on deck 9. Lower cabins are less affected, and by deck 7 there is no effect at all.

Good luck. You will like Celebrity and Millennium.

Also, please see the website...there are cabins with huge balconies, etc.

www.celebrity.com

You don't mention what line you're used to, but Celebrity is the best of the mass market lines...and M Class ships far better than Century Class ships...their website gives you any information you could possibly need. Happy planning.

Thanks for the help. We have been cruising recently on Princess in a BB category which has the double sized balcony which we really like. Half of it is open and the other half is covered. I looked at the deck plans and noticed cabin number 7177 looks like it has a larger balcony. Is that correct and if so is it fully covered are just partial. If my info is correct this would be a lower cost cabin that the ones offered on the next deck down since they appeared to be a CC category which we don't need but would only consider if prices were nearly similar. Does anyone know if you get any noise form the restaurants in the the CC category cabins? Thanks again for all of your help. We have never sailed Celebrity so my knowledge is pretty weak. We have Princess down pat but I am kinda lost on Celebrity. Thanks.

Please see comments from Ted-D on deck 9 in regards to CC cabins. add to his deck nine comment the possibility of noise from chairs etc above. Other decks are ok. All the balcony's on M class are covered by the floor of the deck of the cabin above except the aft cabins. The CC aft cabins are partially covered and huge (longer) than any others. The exposed part is of course visible to those above including the aft outdoor restaurant.

7177 is indeed bigger as are the 2 in front of it and the same three on the other side. I believe that the balcony above will also be the same too... meaning exposure is also the same.
