They tried to give her the old Celebrity scheme.

Here's a picture

This is what happens when a ship class is built on a hull that is not meant for it. The tapering that works so well on the Century and Horizon class isn't present here and the blue stripe seems blocky, IMO.

I just don't think the Millie class has the creativity and care that went into the Century class, inside and out. The Millie class are stamps, rush jobs, and I think once the newness of the class wears out, some folks will see that the Century class was the most characterful and creative of the fleet, and designed for the Celebrity experience of their time better than the Millie class is for a Celebrity experience of its time.

New paint scheme unifies the fleet, is OK at best IMO, but shows that Millie isn't really a nicely drawn ship. This is an RCI ship, the hull works for the Radiance, and looks compromised and awkward as the Millennium.

I must agree with Ben. The Mille class does seem rather boxy and not very elegant. The paint scheme is the lines old colors which I am glad to see. I think ship designs are getting too simple with out a lot of class. The Century and Soverign of the Seas class were much more refined designs.

I really hope this is some kind of sick joke. The original paint jobs for the Millenium Class ship look much classier that what they have done in this picture. I am booked on the Summit next year and really hope they keep the blue hull. The ship is just to big for that format

All I can say is that it's about time!!! I'm glad to see that RCI is finally going to start letting Celebrity be Celebrity again.... The original Millie colors were highly overdone...black, white, blue, yellow, red, blah blah blah..... Navy Blue and White is the Celebrity trademark, and I think it looks great on Millie....
