They checked him for microchips, tested him all over. Of course my vet said he was only part siamese, the lynx point is considered a colorpoint in some registries.
I told them he was feral, and I could hold him but I didn't know what he would do if they tried. The nurse pulled him out and rubbed his ears. A few minutes later she was kissing the top of his head while he purred at both of them.
Finally the doc looked at me and said, "if he tests negative for flv and fiv (feline aids), do you plan to keep him. I said "YES positively, completely, absolutely YES." Then they made me sit in the waiting room for 8 minutes while the Erisa test ran. The vet appeared and said we need to see the kitty again. My heart sank. Seems the test didn't take, they said it was human error, so they ran it again, while I sat another 8 minutes chewing my lip. Then, he came out and said, "congratulations, you have a new kitty!"
I have to leave him locked in the spare bedroom for 2 days because of his fleas, then I will have to flea bomb the room. The vet said to leave him outside for those 2 days, and I said, "Not my kitty!" I took all the bedding out, and Simon has the run of the rooom. It is about 12x16, so he has a lot to explore.
I let Max and Scoots smell the carrier and he came up to the gate and sniffed them. I went and laid down on the floor in there and played with him, while Max stuck his nose under the door and whined and cried. I don't think there will be an trouble at all. I have the door blocked so Max can't scare him. He purred, and rubbed his jaw all over me. He comes and stares me right in the face, then rubs my jaw with his. A true little lover. I will get photos later, right now they found a bite on his back, and cut fur and treated that, and flea treated him so he is looking a little scraggly, but purring his head off.
Thanks everyone!
