We are traveling out of Ft Lauderdale on 2/3 on the Miracle with stops in Colon, Panama; Limon, Costa Rica; and Belize. Anyone that's been to any of these have recommendations for excursions at each? Could be booked through cruise line, but definitely not opposed to booking outside of the cruiseline in order to save $$$$.

Thank you!

Also, if you are not opposed, anyone who's experienced the Miracle, please include your top 5 must see/do's on the ship (food, entertainment, etc.)?

We were on the Miracle last year. Nice ship. Top 5 things? (in no particular order)

1) The chocolate fountain.

2) Ruben Sandwiches in the Deli, a great late afternoon snack if you have late dining.

3) Chilled mango soup.

4) The water slide.

5) Being out on deck at sunset.

We have been to Belize twice and have had two great excursions. One of them is "Belize's Best By Boat" on the shore trips website. That's a great snorkel out at Shark Ray Alley where you snorkel with the Shark Rays and the Nurse Sharks.

The best excursion was the Manatee Watch, Reef Snorkeling, and Bannister Beach Break with Coral Breeze Tours. We particularly enjoyed Bannister Caye. You can also do this trip without the snorkeling if you want.

Also, if you're in to shopping there's a little shop on the tender dock called The Loom. It's one of Susan's favorites. They have all kinds of linnen goods there. Susan has done some of her Christmas shopping there. The Rum Punch at the Wet Lizzard bar on the tender dock is mighty fine too.

As far as the canal, we did a tour through all of the locks (bus to boat)...simply amazing! You can do just about anything else anywhere else, but you might only get that chance once in a lifetime. I would encourage you to do that. One of my favorite pictures of my wife & I is of us with our hands on a wall of the canal where you can see how deep we are.

As far as COSTA RICA...
..The BEST excursion I have EVER done on ANY cruise ANYWHERE is the "CRAZY MONKEY CANOPY TOUR" in CR!.
