Miracle Guarantee

I booked an OV guarantee aboard Miracle for the 02/27/08 cruise. The Rep at Carnival (where I booked) assured me that this was a 6A guarantee and I would be given no category lower. The doc's I received from Carnival show OV. The Miracle has 5A cabins that are considered OV and have french doors and an obstructed view.

My question is this..........if for some fluke of a reason I happen to get put into a 5A, is that better than being in an OV with just a picture window? Do the french doors open to a balcony or deck??

Also, if I manage an upgrade, would you consider a 7A balcony (obstructed view) an upgrade over the OV? I've never had a balcony cabin before. Any descriptions of a balcony that is obstructed would help.....does the lifeboat cover the entire opening?

A little nervous about the guarantee, but I'm perfectly okay in an OV cabin so I think it should be okay..:girly

The OV cabins on the Miracle have French doors that do not open. The lifeboats are directly in front of these "doors" about 16 to 20 feet away. You can see the ocean by looking between/under the lifeboats.
We booked OV (not Guarantee) on one of the upgrade sale days, and they bumped us up to balcony. Since there is only one deck on board with OV's, the only place you could possibly upgrade to would be a balcony. It sounds pretty promising to me! Good Luck!

I looked online and there are only 9 available 6A cabins left so I will keep my fingers crossed.
