My wife, her cousin and husband and 17 month old are all going on the 30th. It is our 3rd cruise and our cousins first as a couple. We are all very excited. My wife has been doing an amazing amount of research about the ship and the ports so if you have any questions just let me know.

Matthew I did reply but not sure where it went. I was wondering if anyone was cruising on the 30th? The message boards have been slow on this cruise. We are from Boston area. So Calif at least warm. We have had over 100 inches on snow in NH (our 2nd home) not so much here in Boston. What other ships have you cruised on?
We love Carnival. Chat soon.

Re: Miracle March 30th who going?

Hey Cheryl,

It was a frigid 67 degrees today. Sorry but winter is pretty easy out here. I grew up on the east coast and went to school way outside of Boston in Franklin, MA (Dean Junior College). My best friend lives in Boston.

This is only my second cruise (first was on Royal Caribbean) and my wifes third (first was Baja, Mexico weekend cruise and then the Royal Caribbean). The cruise we took was to the Bahamas and Key West.

My wife has done an amazing amount of research for this cruise so if you have any questions let me know and I will ask her. Have you planned any excursions? Any plans for what you want to do on the ship for the days at sea?

Hi. We have made no plans for excursions. Maybe the beach in St Lucia. Not sure about St Kitts? What do you have planned? We have done the island tour of St Marteen 2 or 3 times in the past. Not sure may beach again. I did buy a book about the island for the first time. The past cruises we have just winged it. Last year we had a stop in St Lucia and picked a beach that was like being at home. Rocky rough under toe so the need for the book. Out first I'd say 4-5 cruises we did all the island tours saw everything. Now we are a little older and its cold here we want warm sun and fun.
So let me know what your has pick out for excursions.

Today we had a wintry mix, snow then rain and awful cold. 67 arn't you funny. :)

We actually live in Marblehead North of Boston. Ever been here, very historic. Where did you grow up?
Where is your wife from? We are both from Marblehead. Walter is a firefighter I work in a bank.

I guess you should be giving us advice instead of the other way around. In terms of excursions we are doing the catamaran trip in St Kitts, the cosol tour in St Lucia, and just going to the Orient Beach in St Martin. This is our first time in this area so we have to do the tours and see the islands.

I grew up on the east coast (Maine, Maryland, and New Jersey) and my wife was born in the Philippines but grew up in Southern California since age 6. My wife is working her way up in the film/tv business and I work doing in-home sales for a home improvement company.

We are so exhausted and worn out and are so ready for this cruise. I hope we all have fun.

Matthew and Carissa. I hear you. We have elderly parents that have been a handful this past fall/winter. Walter has been studying for Fire Chief and that test was March 22, so we can now rest. We can hardly wait. We are leaving Fri am for Ft Lauderdale for 2 days and then borad the ship Sun am. Maybe our paths will cross on board ship. Walter usually wears a turquoise hat that says fire fighters from hell baseball hat type.

I will check this in a day or so.

Look for us. I am a 6ft white guy and my wife is just under 5ft and is Filipino. We will also be accompanied by my wife's cousins and their 17 month old baby. 5 days left. Not enough time to pack and get everything together. Luckily we have purchased all the necessities. Now we just have to organize and pack. Never has there been a more badly needed vacation. We all just have to relax and unwind.

We will our eyes out for each other.

I did the Little Divi Bay Excursion through Carnival in St. Maarten. I loved the beach!!!!

You may want to avoid the Soufriere Mineral Baths in St. Lucia if you're prone to motion sickness. The bus ride (2 hours) had many in our party popping Dramamine and praying. The roads are very hilly, windy with hair pin turns. It seemed like alot of time driving to spend 20 minutes in the mineral baths. The climb down to the baths is rough too, so if you have physical challenges definitely don't pick it.

In St. Kitts I paid for the Town and Frigate Bay Beach. In retrospect, I should have caught a cab there with a few others. The town tour was just the drive down one street downtown on the way there (no tourguide interaction or speaking). We did get a free beach chair and a free rum punch with the price though. Frigate Bay Beach is nice and there are tons of sea shells as you walk along, but there is a small drop off about 3 feet in that is hard to get back up once you get down. The water taxi pulls up right to the beach. I thought that would have been more fun.

Just my 2 cents.......

Thanks for the 2 cents. My wife was very careful in what she chose for excursions and looked at many reviews. I think we will be safe with what we chose.
