Hello everyone! Don't know why it has taken me so long to think to look for a roll call thread here. Glad someone was on the ball and started one, Budracer. We are Jim & Patty from Central NC.

There are 10 of us booked who sailed on the Explorer in '04 together and again on the Mariner in '05(shadowsmom, we were on the MOSAIC cruise together) and another 8 who sailed on the Sovereign together last year. We're really looking forward to meeting old friends again and making some new 'cruise buddies'.

Hi,
We're in Raymore which is a few miles south of Kansas City. We make it down to Springfield quite a bit, we love to go eat at Lamberts.

Hi all :)
I was also on the Mosaic cruise and am seriously thinking about this one.
Has anyone booked their airfare yet? I will be flying in from Philadelphia and the fares are about $215.00 to $240.00 round trip right now (which is great)!
Also, for those of you flying in a day early have you booked a hotel ?

Take care
Hope to see you all on the Freedom of the Seas!!

We've booked our air. We're flying in on Friday and some of our group is flying in on Saturday.

As of now we have rooms on hold near the airport. I don't want to pay high dollar near the port, but would love to be on the beach. Any suggestions? We will hit Bayside on Saturday and we want to see South Beach too.

Hi, this thread sure has been quiet! :wave

For anyone going to Miami pre-cruise Have you booked a hotel yet?

I booked my air today, I decided to fly into FLL the day before since the price was much better on Air-Tran as opposed to AA and the times are more convenient too.

Fill us in on your plans so far...

Take care

Anyone have any news on the "group rate hotel" that was mentioned on the MOAGC3 page???? Been waiting but need to make a move if they aren't going to.

I asked Lori's office yesterday if there was any talk of a group hotel and got this answer
"No word on a group hotel in Miami. I think everyone is booking on there own."
I am going to look at priceline/Easyclicktravel again later today. They had a 5* listed as (off the record) and there are claims that it is the Intercontinental Miami for $110.62 plus taxes.

I'll let you all know how I made out.

Ok guys I just booked the Hyatt Regency downtown Miami for 90.00 + taxes on Priceline name your own price! Rate through the hotel is 159.00 +.
They have rental car drop off on site at the hotel for Enterprise, which I will be using from the FLL airport. The price for that in case anyone is interested is 41.39 including taxes and fees for a compact car.
Alrighty then I am set!!
Any questions let me know

Take care
Donna

Tina B,
I found the Colony Hotel in South Beach for $92 on Easy CLick. Don't know anything about it other than it's an art deco hotel and a promenant landmark right on the boulevard. If anyone knows anything, please post it. We're thinking about booking this one.

Hi Jim (Coysdad). Hi all of MOAGC3. My name is Karen and I'm an addict. A cruising addict. My husband (Jim) and I met Coysdad on Sovereign last April and it was Jim that sent me the link to join this group cruise. Thank-you Jim! How addicted am I? Well, this past February I left husband home to cruise on Legend of the Seas with my sister when aforementioned husband got even by breaking his ankle. I very briefly (about a nanosecond) toyed with the idea of cutting my trip short to come home and take care of him (you ladies know why) but decided I didn't care. My cruise (and Capt Antalis) was more fun.

Hi all, Tom and Molly here. Just booked this cruise with Lori - couldn't resist the great balcony prices. Have resisted going on megasize like Freedom - Been on Mariner 4 times and that is plenty big. Anyone have any experience on this size ship with that many passengers? Happy Easter to all. Tom & Molly
