Lady Jag--Totally understandable. You're cruise bound, and mom or no mom those thoughts take priority. :grinAnyway on the Spirit the Laundry Rooms were on decks 1 midship (I used this one all the time as it's right beside the elevator), deck 6 (all the way forward). I know they had laundry rooms on one or two other decks but these two I actually used.As memory serves (might be as good as yours though--ha!) she shouldn't have any kind of obstruction on Empress Deck. I have been on Main Deck 4 in a 5a with totally obstructed view thanks to the lifeboat so Empress Deck 6 should be all clear. Upper Deck 5 would see the topside of the lifeboats. Empress Deck should be great for your mom--nice and quiet since there's a cabin deck above. If she should receive an offer for an upgrade to the Panorama Deck, I personally wouldn't take it. I once went from the peacefulness of the Verandah Deck to what was supposedly an upgrade on Panorama--NOT. Granted on Panorama it was mid-ship (#8208) which was ideal but the noise from above was horrendous, and ran from around 06:00-02:00 every day. Thought I was in a bowling alley and it wasn't 'bowling for dollars'! Enjoy your cruise this weekend! Look forward to hearing about it when you return.I have lots of Caper papers from Spirit so let me know if you want me to look up anything. All the best,
