I read 1 post where it said the pools are heated. Is that correct? This is my first RCCL cruise. I was on a Carnival in early June out of LA and the pool water came from the ocean and it was freezing! That would be great if this pool was actually heated.

I don't think so. Last time I cruised on this ship out of L.A. a few years back that water was f-f-f-f-reezing!

Heated by the Natural heating of the SUN compliments of Mother Nature is about it. :) In the Caribbean warmth usually is NOT a problem but in the colder sailing itineraries U will see MOST folks heading for the Hot Tubs unless of course the ship has a covered pool area. :dance

Well I have 2 people saying not heated and 1 says heated to about only 70-75*. Either way, it sounds like it will be too cold for a swim. The hot tubs sound like the way to go!

Nope, not heated.. as far as I know none of RCCL's ships have heated pools.. I "think" Freedom class has fresh water pools but the rest of them are seawater...

Only a few cruise ships have a heated pool. P&O ships have them, Regent too. Lots of ships heat their indoor spa pools though.

The latest news is that the newest Freedom Class ship, Independance of the Seas, will have a heated pool.
