Went to Belize this past April.  We were able to see the monkeys on a trip to the mayan ruins.  We took the New Lumani River cruise and when we arrived at the ruin area, they fed everyone lunch and the monkeys were all over the place.  They didn't approach anyone though.  Another cruiser did the Baboon thing and was very disappointed.
