We are booked on the Splendour of the Seas 12/22/03. Has anyone done the "The Best of Jamaica" tour offered by Royal Caribbean and can share the experience. Thanks and happy cruising !

If you are going to Montego Bay, The best way to see the island and go anywhere you want to at a very reasonable price, is to contact Carolyn Barrett Adventures.
www.barrettadventures.com . She is an incredible woman, loves Jamaica, and knows everyone and every story, history, gossip, etc.. She took us to the local (non tourist) shops, jerk chicken stand, village up in the hills, Rose Hall Beach, Margaritaville, the whole nine yards in about 7 hours. What a day! We found others via internet to go with us. Total group of 12 cost $240.00 total ($20 per person!)

Did you have any peoblems with vendors ? Read many dangerous sounding reports of them on your tour with her ?

No problems with vendors because she took us to a special place where people from her village were selling stuff. They all knew her very well. She even told us what to offer and how much things could come down price wise where we would still get a good deal but not insult the craftsmen.
If you do book with her, tell her Tom Sodemann says hi!
