It docks at a terminal (no tender). There are shops inside the terminal. All cabs, buses, vans, etc... pick you up outside the terminal. The terminal is completely fenced in.
That's what I thought but someone told my husband you have to take a tender (longer than the one at GC). Could she have been in Ocho Rios instead of MoBay??
It's possible to be tendered IF there are so many ships in port that there isn't room at the pier(s) or terminal.
Montego Bay has room for 1, maybe 2 ships at the terminal if they aren't big ones. Ocho has room for 2 at the pier and then they use the old bauxite terminal nearby as another spot for cruise ships. We were at MoBay 2 years ago on the Splendour of the Seas. A 2nd ship in port that day would have had to tender.
