We talked to some folks at Paradise Beach about this subject. They said nobody on the island drinks the water, not even the people who live there. Everyone uses bottled water. This would not encourage me to drink it. He assured me, however, that their establishment (and I'm sure most others) uses only bottled water and ice made of bottled water. I didn't drink anything but a canned pop and water from the ship, so I can't testify, but I thought it was good to know.
