More Splendor Cancellations

Carnival has announced that Carnival Splendor will now be out of service until February 20, 2011.

They will be moving the ship from San Diego to San Francisco in January for further repairs. Here is a link to an article with more details including info on compensation to passengers on the affected voyages.

I was really happy that my Feb. 6th cruise was cancelled on the Splendor. I asked for a full refund and I got it right away. "YEAH". I need the money to buy me a new washing machine. Plus, I am tired of cruising on Carnival. I have cruised 25 times with Carnival and I am bored with their dinner menu. I want to start cruising on Princess ships next. It will cost more but I can look for specials.

We were on that cruise as well. We re-booked on Carnival out of Galveston on the Conquest. Same week. That cruise was cheaper so I got a refund of the difference, plus we got some on board credit.

I haven't nearly exhaused Carnival yet, lol. Only my 3rd cruise.

FYI, Carnival Corporation also owns these cruise lines:
Holland America Line, Cunard Line, Princess Cruises, Seabourn Cruise Line and Costa Cruises.

Moto, I know that Carnival owns all of those cruise lines. But each cruiseline owned by Carnival...... still kept there own menus and styles of cruise ships. Princess ships are my favorite ships. Carnival is now 2nd place due to the fact that I have cruised 25 times on Carnival ships. I am bored with them. I still have two cruises booked on Carnival ships.
I had already booked them in advance.

I also got my refund from Carnival Splendor. But they saved the $250. cruise credit that I can use at a future date. So I need to plan another cruise with Carnival.
