the tips don't include the maitre d'. we learned that he was responsible for matching families at dining room tables and spends a great deal of time on this, in addition to his other duties. we were matched with a wonderful family with same age children and they became buddies for the entire trip. we gave him a nice tip in an envelope provided to us in our room on the last night by carnival.we also increased the tip for the room steward...he put up with the luggage and belongings of three teenage girls and parents. (and on the few occasions when we paged him, he was at our door in 60 seconds or less.)i don't know what is customary for camp carnival staff, but they are additional also.have fun!
