Thought I should mention for the new comers who are cruising with us this time. Last few cruises we have met for breakfast club in the dining room. all cruise ships have been good abt letting us have a regular table we meet at 8:00 such a good time to discuss days plans. Even if spouse dosen't do breakfast come join us. also gives us early din din people chance to visit with the late night ones over a meal. Who might me joining Paw and I some breakfasts?

I'll be joining you Maw--Doubt Honey will make it-she likes to sleep a little later in the AM.
Please allow me to have my coffee before expecting any intelligent conversation. LOL

You know I enjoy your breakfast club Maw. LOL I move faster in the morning on a cruise then I do when at home on a non-work day as I don't want to miss anything!

I'll try to be there, and I know that Ed wants to be there, but like Jack, I need coffee to wake up:hammer:

And for the newbies..
like everything on these cruises.. nothing is mandatory. no one will ask where you were and why you did not turn up.
This has just evolved over the years, and is a nice way for the early diners to mix with the late diners.

It is easy to find maw and paw, you just look for those scooters parked outside, and tell the person at the door that you are with Maw and paw. After the first day they all know.

I turn up even though I usually only have toast or something real light. it is not about the food.. it is about the conversation.

I'll be there ..... not sure John will ....... he's not a morning person with or without his coffee. I can hardly wait to see the other Jack after he has had his coffee .... will I recognize him??????

I hope to join you guys a time or two. I'll have to get Oscar to be OK with me leaving him in the room. :madd:There is NO WAY to get him up and ready that early. To us 10 is early:yawn:, 11 is normal. I may try to start my day with an early morning walk then breakfast, then go back and get him up.

Janet, after the other jack :diablo: has his coffee the hair and fangs fall off.. and then you will recognise him.

Ann, that sounds like a plan to me.

And I do not always make it if we have a balcony.. as some mornings I just love to sit out there and drink my tea and chill out.

One or both of us will be there on sea days anyway. On port days I usually have too much to get ready if we have an early excursion. The hard part will be getting Susie out of bed.

And can I get a decent cup of hot tea or will I need to bring my own. I am not even British and I know that Lipton's is not good tea.

Thanks for mentioning this.. some of us may skip the port mornings.. depending on when we will be leaving the ship.

Mike, although on some ships I can sometimes find fairly decent teas.. I have learned not to rely on this. Plus I hate to have to search.. I go NOWHERE without my own teabags. PG Tips..... I even make sure I carry two bags with me when I go to dinner at night.

On port days we sometimes go at 7 so can be off ship when excursions start or meeting in atrium for the group to leave ship. Really looking forward to seeing everyone-understand not wanting to get up too early. Nice part of crusiing everyone can move to their own beat.

I echo My Better Half's Words. With a Corner Aft Balcony I can envision some Balcony Breakfast as well with perhaps a Bloody Mary. :boogie: Good to see U All & Linda and look forward to meeting U in a month.
