Taking a carnival cruise to Western carrib. Would like to go to Chankanaab in Mexico first with the kids (ages 3,5) and then take them some where to ride waverunners. Any place you can recommend that is more kid-friendly? Do I have time to do both? Thanks so much!

In my opinion you wouldn't want to pay for the taxi to Chankanab, the $10 per person fee and the taxi to another beach. In 2001 Mr. Sanchos did not have wave runners. How many hours will you be there? What other islands are you going to? I think Playa San Francisco has a lot of motorized water sports.

I'm in Mexico for a full day (until midnight) so that's why I really want to do the waverunners that day, but I want a good beach for the children as well. Mr. Sanchos website says it has the waverunners but I wanted to know which beach would be best for children with waverunners.

We were just at Mr. Sancho's last Friday. I did see Jet Ski's or Wave Runners as you are calling them. This beach is beautiful and a $14 taxi ride from the new Puerta Maya Carnival/Princess pier. Chankaanab is before this so probably a $10-12 ride. This is per taxi not per person each way. There is no fee at Mr. Sancho's. There are restrooms, a double in water trampoline, a huge jacuzzi, bar and restaurant service right on the beach and vendors sell great souvenirs at bargain prices. If you must snorkle or want a Dolphin experience, then Chankaanab would be the best bet.

My husband didn't want to leave Mr. Sancho's as it was so relaxing and the water was so beautiful.

Thanks for the info nanatravel! I think I'll try them both, as long as the kids aren't too exhausted.
