Hi All,

Well we booked the #4 cruise of the New HAL Noordam now being built in Italy for it's January, 2006 launching. The February 22nd inaugural sounds like it will be a festive one.

The 3/25/2006 11day cruise to the Southern Caribbean should be a interesting cruise as this will be our first sailing on a cruiseship that is only 2-3 months old. Also this is the first time we will be sailing on a Vista Class ship of the HAL Line.

Know it is early but this is the time to strike the iron hot for good rooms and also early dining choices. Should be an experience to try the Cat SS. - Superior Deluxe Verandah. We have had Outside Deluxe Verandah on the Rotterdam twice.

Hope others will book to get away from the cold and possible ice/snow that could be around.

We'll be on the Noordam on the same itinerary, but next fall: 11/25/06. Please write a review when you get home, letting us know how you liked the ship and the itinerary. We'd be particularly interested in three aspects of the itinerary:

1) Since the first stop is an afternoon and evening in Tortola (presumably too late to go to the Baths in Virgin Gorda), what activities did the ship offer.

2) What did you do in Dominica?

3) Was there enough time in San Juan to do anything? We'd like to meet friends, then walk through Old San Juan with them.

Nue skies and calm seas!

Ed, The days are going so slow now waiting for 3/25... Been booked since Labor Day of 05.
My wife and I sail once each year since our honeymoon 6 years ago. Man, we are hooked.
We cant keep all the videos and pictures from getting mixed. We've been sailing the Maasdam from Norfolk the past few years but we "upgraded" for a year so she could see the Statue of Liberty for the first time. Getting a bus to and from the pier right from our hometown. That sealed the deal..

You can e mail me if you want and we'll hunt you down if you want..
Time to go find the luggage..

Bon voyage, Ed and Fred! Welcome to Cruise @ddicts, Fred.

If the weather is nice on Saturday (which is iffy--there may be rain or snow showers), we'll be on the Jersey shore, watching the ship pull out between 4:45 and 5 p.m. Have a great trip, and be sure to write reviews when you get back!

Fred, if you think you've had a long wait since Labor Day 2005, we booked our 11/25/06 Noordam cruise on 8/5/05, 15 1/2 months in advance. 7 1/2 months down, 8 months to go. We're almost halfway there.
