MSC Cruises Has Just Posted the Following:
Pierfrancesco Vago,CEO of MSC Crociere and Adriano Galliani, Vice Executive President and Managing Director of A.C. Milan headed the press conference last March 1st on board MSC Fantasia in Genoa to present the initiatives to carry out in partnership in the coming months in prevision of the christening of MSC Splendida to take place in Barcelona on July 12th, 2009. The “MSC CRUCEROS CUP” football triangular tournament will take place in Barcelona on July 11th: over 35-aged players from A.C. Milan, F.C. Barcelona and Real Madrid – three of the world’s most famous clubs – will face off in a five-a-side football tournament that promises high-level entertainment. The event, conceived by the Italian Red-and-Black club with the participation of MSC Crociere, will take place at the Palau Blaugrana, the sports arena where most important matches of local basketball, handball, roller hockey and five-a-side football teams take place. MSC CRUCEROS CUP is a great football and charity event: part of the proceeds will benefit the Borgonovo Fondazione , in support of the scientific research in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and families affected by ALS, providing also psychological support. At the end of the matches, the stars from A.C. Milan, Real Madrid and F.C. Barcelona and their technical staffs will board MSC Splendida for a 7night-cruise. On July 12th , 2009 a delegation from A.C. Milan will attend the launch ceremony of the MSC Splendida; afterwards the ship will sail for its Maiden Voyage in the Mediterranean. The Special Football Cruise will take place from July 13th to the 18th. 5 days of sports, relaxation and fun with initiatives and events for football lovers merging into an utmost pleasure of enjoying a holiday on board a “splendid” ship.
