Dreaming of a special New Year celebration? Enjoy a toast with MSC Cruises and immerse yourself in a sea of fun! You can visit well known places in the Mediterranean, soak up the sun on a sandy Caribbean beach or head for Brazil to wrap yourself in the music and rhythms of this country's colourful festivities.

To celebrate New Year 2008 in style, MSC Cruises is offering six different itineraries on board six of their sleek new liners: MSC Orchestra, MSC Musica, MSC Lirica, MSC Opera, MSC Sinfonia and MSC Armonia.

MSC Orchestra departs Genoa on 28 December to cruise to Italy, Greece, Egypt, Cyprus, Turkey and Crete (12 days/11 nights). Ports of call include: Genoa, Katakolon, Piraeus, Rhodes,Alexandria, Limassol, Marmaris, Heraklion in Crete and Naples before returning to Genoa.

Alexandria in Egypt
A tour to discover ancient Egypt - visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mycerinus, the Sphinx and the museum in Cairo.

CreteVisit Knossos Palace, built in Neolithic times, then on to the Archaeological Museum to see the vast collection of the remains from the Minoan civilisations which developed in Europe millennia ago.

MSC Musica departs from Genoa on 29 December to cruise to Italy, Spain, Gibraltar, Madeira and the Canary Islands (12 days/11 nights). Ports of call include: Genoa, Barcelona, Gibraltar, Funchal, Tenerife, Arrecife, Malaga and Civitavecchia before returning to Genoa.

Pico Dos Barcelos (from Funchal)
Panoramic tour of Madeira stopping off at Pico dos Barcelos with its splendid views, followed by a visit to the Church of Nossa Senora da Monte with its beautiful gardens. Return to the harbour in a traditional Madeira wicker basket sled that is pushed down the streets manually!

Arrecife
An enjoyable day making the most of the countryside around Arrecife. Stop at Jameo del Agua to admire the salt lake with its unique population of white crabs. Next, visit Timanfaya National Park, with its lunar landscape caused by volcanic activity, and then the Island of Ilario.

MSC Lirica departs from Fort Lauderdale on 28 December to cruise to Florida, Grand Cayman, Mexico, Bahamas (8 days/7 nights). Ports of call include: Fort Lauderdale, Key West, Georgetown,Cozumel and Nassau before returning to Fort Lauderdale.

Travel by boat to Stingray City and see these amazing marine animals while visiting Grand Cayman.

Cozumel
Visit the walled city of Tulum, the only Mayan city built on the Caribbean Sea, with its restored temples and mysterious designs. Stop off at "El Castillo" to enjoy a breathtaking view of the amazing blue colours of the Caribbean.

MSC Opera departs from Santos on 30 December to cruise along the coast of Brazil (8 days/7 nights). Ports of call include: Santos, Buzios, Copacabana, Salvador de Bahia and Ilha Grande before returning to Santos.

Buzios
Enjoyable transfer by schooner, stopping off at a number of idyllic beaches, including the one at Joao Fernandes and Ilha Feia where you'll find perfect photographic opportunities along the way. Free time to soak up the sun on the beach in Tortuga.

Salvador de Bahia
Panoramic bus tour along the splendid beaches of Bahia - Mirante del Ondina, Ondina and Amaraina. Free time to make the most of the sun.

MSC Sinfonia departs from Buenos Aires on 28 December to cruise to Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay (10 days/9 nights). Ports of call include: Buenos Aires, Ilha Grande, Copacabana, Buzios, Rio de Janeiro,Ilhabela and Punta del Este before returning to Buenos Aires.

Buenos AiresA tour through Buenos Aires to the Palermo quarter, Plaza de Mayo with its Municipal building, the May Pyramid and Metropolitan Cathedral, then on to the famous La Boca district and Calle Caminito, mainly inhabited by Italians.

Ilhabela
Travel by schooner along the canal of Ilhabela and arrive at Cabras Island. Free time on the beach to enjoy a welcome drink.

MSC Armonia departs from Rio de Janeiro on 30 December to cruise to Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay (9 days/8 nights). Ports of call include: Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Punta del Este and Ilhabela before returning to Rio de Janeiro.

Rio de Janeiro
One of Rio's most spectacular assets has to be its beaches. A boat trip will allow you to choose between the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema.

Punta del Este
Panoramic tour of the city often referred to as the Saint Tropez of South America. Free time to stroll along the seafront and enjoy a meal. From here the excursion will take you to Punta Ballena to visit Casapueblo, residence of the famous local artist Carlos Páez Vilaró.
