MSC Cruises Has Just Posted the Following:
If eyes are the mirror of the soul, then eyelashes are its frame. Every woman wishes she had healthy, thick, long, and curled eyelashes. But if Mother Nature has not granted them such a wondrous asset, they can now rely on innovative technology to create them.
Make-up artist Shu Uemura was the first to transform eyelashes into a true haute couture accessory and celebrity clients, like Britney Spears, Anne Hathaway and even Madonna, can thank him for pioneering it.
Soon it caught on like wild fire in Hollywood, setting a new trend in the fashion world to launch eyelash extensions as the latest breakthrough in cosmetics. Sandra Bullock, Lucy Liu, Beyoncé...everyone simply had to have eyelash extensions.
Thanks to specialist maker-upper Monica Benetton, the latest eyelash technology is now available in the lavish Balinese MSC Aurea Spa wellness centres aboard MSC Cruises' two newest ship's MSC Magnifica and MSC Splendida. The new offering puts them right up there in the van of fashion and brings a new dimension to cruising as the perfect place for relaxation, recovery and renewable health and beauty practices.
All kinds of people with different types of lashes can wear these extensions. Unlike traditional false eyelashes that only last one day and are applied on a strip, synthetic eyelash extensions are glued to eyelash hairs one by one with tweezers and can last two to three months. By applying natural looking, flexible, and soft-to-the-touch synthetic eyelashes the perfect curve of the lash can be maintained without wearing mascara. There are also natural materials on offer that range from cotton to mink.
Guests can choose between the well-groomed but totally natural look, or apply highlights to give them a more intense and intriguing gaze. If they are bold enough, they can opt for coloured lashes or even lashes sparkling with Swarovski crystals!
Complementing this exclusive new beauty technique being offered in the MSC Aurea Spa is an array of body and facial treatments, Balinese, Shiatsu and Thai massages and superb wellness facilities, which truly put MSC Aurea Spa in a realm of its own.
