MSC Cruises has reached yet another milestone in implementing greater standards to protect the environment. Bureau Veritas Certification has awarded the ISO 14001 certificate to the company for the management system it has put into place on board its ships and in its offices to monitor and reduce the company's impact on the environment.

In addition to the survey and monitoring system, the Bureau Veritas audit also acknowledges the valid monitoring and reporting system of the onboard activities as well as training for all personnel.

"The ISO 14001 certificate is very important for our company as we promote our commitment to the environment," said Domenico Pellegrino, Managing Director of MSC Crociere. "Our environmental management system has met all the requirements of the International Standard."

Bureau Veritas Certification is the Division for Certification of the Group Bureau Veritas, responsible for quality control, health, safety, the environment and social responsibility. The Group is active in 140 countries, with 600 offices and 18,000 experts.
