Shuffleboard, jogging paths, tennis, miniature golf, basketball, volleyball, ping-pong, clay pigeon shooting, a fully equipped gym and the new series of gymnastics, fitness and muscular warm-up WiiFit Nintendo games. Anyone who wants to stay in shape onboard one of MSC Cruises' ships is only spoilt for choice.

And for those who love to play dynamic and fast sports, squash is the latest addition to leisure activities onboard MSC Fantasia, the super flagship - 333 metres long and 60 metres high - that weighs 137,936 gross tons and was launched on December 18th, 2008 in Naples. Located on outer deck number 16 (Aurora deck) behind the Lo Stadio sports centre, the outdoor playing court is made completely in pyroceram. Designed specifically for cruise ships, the court is 7.3 meters long, 4.5 meters wide and 3.2 meters high and is built with an aluminium framework and pyroceram flooring and walls.

Between the sea and clouds, squash enthusiasts and amateurs can put themselves to the test and experience the excitement of this competitive sport. Minimal equipment, provided by onboard staff, is required for playing: basically a racket similar to a tennis racket, except smaller, and a ball. Players also need to have good timing, good ball control, quick reactions and intuition for this no-holds barred game.
Accredited by the World Squash Federation, the playing court will also be installed onboard the MSC Splendida, the tenth jewel in the MSC Cruises fleet, to be launched next July in Barcelona.
