Today, MSC Armonia will host the second edition of the Team & Win Event. This unique event was created by MSC Cruises to award the best European travel agencies for their work and results achieved in the 2007 season. The Team & Win Event will take place at the same time as its Italian counterpart, "Uniti e Vincenti". Always very close to the travel agencies and tour operators, MSC Cruises has created this special event to present the season's novelties and to reinforce partnerships with the travel agencies' network.
In Europe, MSC Cruises works with thousands of travel agencies. To celebrate this close cooperation, 2,000 of MSC Cruises best partners will embark on MSC Armonia, coming from Italy, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Holland, Portugal, Scandinavia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
During the evening, the names of the nominated travel agencies will be revealed in the following categories and the winners for the 2007 season will be announced:
- Best Group Supporter
- Best Individual Supporter
- Best Networks
- Best Web supporter
- Best New Business
"Team & Win is a very important appointment for us, a special moment to interact with our commercial partners. We share with the travel agencies and networks a future rich in novelties and challenges, starting with the four new cruise ships which will join the fleet by 2010. Among them are MSC Fantasia and her sister ship, MSC Splendida, the two biggest ships ever built by a European owner, said Domenico Pellegrino, Managing Director of MSC Crociere.
"We are very proud of our worldwide growth and want to share this moment with our commercial partners, said Achille Staiano, Commercial Manager for International Markets. "Our strength has always been our ability to listen and understand our partners, the travel agencies. In order to do this, we adjust our planning to market needs with new itineraries, destinations and our new ships, the most technologically advanced in the world. Together, we will achieve our goal: to become the leading company in the Mediterranean."
