MSC Cruises Has Just Posted the Following:
As the newest ship in the MSC fleet, MSC Magnifica advances everything that's made the Musica Class such a success. At 293.8 m long and 59.64 m high, displacing 93,330 tons and able to travel at up to 23 knots, she has all the scale to offer superlatively smooth and silent cruising in spacious surroundings. But that's not all. Creating an experience in a class of her own, she also displays all the creativity, quality of materials and comfort that have set new standards in MSC's twin flagships MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida. So you always enjoy an experience that feels designed around you, on a human scale, offering the warmth and intimacy that makes every special moment truly special.
With 22,000 square metres of public areas, MSC Magnifica's 3,010 guests can always find the privacy or social life to match their mood, with avariety of leisure, entertainment, dining and décor that will take morethan a cruise to explore in all their glory.
There are 17 different creatively-themed lounges and bars, ranging from the streaked motifs of the Tiger Bar music lounge to the sinuous splendor of L'Ametista Lounge, which can seat 330 guests in comfort. For quieter moments there's the cosy intimacy of Le Gocce or the Ruby Bar.
Each and every one has its own distinctive design. Take the L'Olimpiade sports bar, for example. Inspired by the Olympics, it features a largecircular bar styled after a racetrack and floors in the colours and shapes ofan athletics ground. There are even track markings in the form of glowingwhite LED stripes. Completing the effect, the chairs and bar stools echothe latest generation sports footwear with its brightly contrasting coloursand materials, including suede and metallic leather. Even the lighting hasbeen purpose designed, with Olympic torch motifs around the bar andglass football lamps in the "green" corners. Creating a real championshipatmosphere, there's a wealth of genuine memorabilia on display, includingBertazzo's bobsleigh, Panetta's running shoes, Moser's record-breaking bikeand Thoeni's Olympic racing skis, together with articles used by Olympicequestrian champion Checcoli and Italian and double Olympic luge sledchampion Zoeggeler.
Displaying the same originality outside, there's the vast Le Grand Bleu open-air pool complex, just one of the four on MSC Magnifica and aparadise for sun seekers with its hydromassage whirlpools, Il Bar delSole, Italian ice-cream parlour, iridescent glass mosaics, sculptures, glassscreenedsolarium and melting views.
As spectacular as nature itself, La Grotta Azzurra pool combines green, beige and aquamarine cobblestones with Guatemalan green marble and teak. Named after Capri's famous deep blue sea cave, it however differs in being sensationally open to the blue above thanks to an immense Pilkington glass superstructure and massive magrodome sliding roof. This technological feat fills La Grotta Azzurra with beautifully natural colour while allowing you to enjoy sky and sea all year round, come rain or shine.
Young adventurers will love the multicoloured Underwater World play centre with its coral reef, deep-sea abyss, pink giant octopus and sunken treasure.
Wherever you look, you'll find the same quality and creativity, from the classic Cuba Lounge cigar room with its mellow colours and deep-buttoned Chesterfield armchairs to the hi-tech T32 discothèque, 4D cinema, plush 1,240 seat Royal Theatre, Atlantic City Casino, Art Gallery, Library and MSC Aurea Spa fitness, wellness and beauty centre.
Last but not least, there are four fantastic restaurants serving world-class gourmet cuisine, each with its own perfectly-attuned ambience. High in the stern, the Sahara Buffet and L'Oasi restaurant offer an exotic experience amidst Moorish wool carpets, brass-topped wood inlay tables, matching seating with multicoloured cushions, sand gold and ochre plasterwork and brass partition grilles that create a warm intimacy. In L'Oasi, a hand-painted ceiling completes the picture of an oasis scene at night, complementing the breathtaking panoramic sea views.
The 1,259 cabins are no less spectacular, including 16 specially designed for people with disabilities, 44 deluxe suites and 837 with a private balcony - all offering a unique combination of quality materials, airy design and cosy comfort to create a haven of privacy and a true home from home.
Wherever your gaze settles on MSC Magnifica, your sight will want to linger, savouring a true feast for the eyes - and indeed all the senses.
