This summer, until 5 October 2008, MSC Musica will cruise the Eastern Mediterranean, departing from Venice on Sundays, from Bari on Mondays and calling into Katakolon, Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, Corfu and Dubrovnik.
Sister ship to MSC Poesia, MSC Musica weighs 92,409 tonnes and has 22,000 square metres of public areas plus the MSC Aurea Spa that covers 1,160 square metres. This is a classic and elegant ship with the latest technology and benefiting from the utmost attention to detail. MSC Musica symbolizes the very best aspects of the ‘Made in Italy' concept.
Starting from Venice,a visit to San Mark's Square is a must-do, as is a trip to the equally-renowned Islands of Murano, for its glass, and Burano, for its lace as well as its pastel-coloured houses.
The next port of call is Bari, the gateway to the ‘trulli' of Alberobello and Rocks of Matera. Then the cruise calls into Katakolon, in the Peloponnesus on mainland Greece, giving you time to visit Olympia, the ancient city at the foot of Mount Kronos. MSC Musica will then make her way to Santorini with its ochre-coloured houses clinging to cliff tops and blue-domed churches so typical of the Cycladic islands. From here the next stop is lively Mykonos - the perfect place to enjoy a night on the town. From Mykonos the ship will call at Piraeus, the ideal way to visit the Acropolis in Athens. This is followed by a visit to charming Corfu, home of the Phoenicians and where Ulysses found refuge. The final port of call is Dubrovnik in Croatia before returning to Venice.
