MSC Cruises Has Just Posted the Following:
The countdown has begun: 15 days until 14 May 2007 when MSC Orchestra, the newest addition to the fleet, will be christened in Civitavecchia, Italy.
Expectations have been running high for the arrival of MSC Orchestra - the second ship in the Musica class. The same can be said of MSC Poesia, due to join next spring in 2008 followed by MSC Magnifica in 2010.
With a rating of 90,000 tonnes, sitting 293 metres long and 33 metres wide, MSC Orchestra will accommodate 3,013 passengers. This innovative and elegant ship has been builtin the traditional and recognisable MSC Cruises style.
Eighty per cent of the ocean-view cabins have a balcony, there are 22,000 square metres of public areas and five restaurants (L'Ibiscus, Villa Borghese, La Piazzetta,Four Seasons and the Shanghai Chinese Restaurant), 10 bars, two of whichare open-air, three meeting and conference rooms and 1,200 square metres for the MSC Aurea Spa. MSC Orchestra represents the perfectcombination of grace and style.
After an 11-night inaugural cruise to France, Spain, Portugal and Morocco, MSC Orchestra will begin her 7-night cruise itineraries from Venice on 2 June 2007. These will call into Greece, Turkey and Croatia. Then, in autumn and winter, MSC Orchestra will continue to cruise the eastern and western Mediterranean.
