MY ONLY CRUISE EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN WITH ROYAL CARIBBEAN.

We loved both the cruises. One without our children on the Serenade and one with our children on the Freedom. Knowing that our children will never let us go alone again. I was wondering if anyone out there has tried other cruise lines and thought they were comparable to Royal. As of right now, I hesitate to book with anyone else. What do you think?

We have been on six Royal Caribbean cruises and they are our favorites. We also like Celebrity a lot because they also have a consistantly high level of service. We found Princess to be comperable as well. I have been on six Carnival cruises and some of those have definitely been better than others.

We've been on five RCCL cruises as well as six Princess cruises and one NCL cruise. We prefer RCCl by FAR over the other two. Princess is very nice, however, their ships cannot compare with the Voyager/Freedom class ships. I would suggest staying with RCCL as you've already been twice. The more time you cruise with one cruise line the faster you climb in membership status which is a nice perk. If we would've stayed with RCCL instead of taking the other cruises we would be Diamond members by now.

Don't get me wrong, we also booked those six Princess cruises because the "price was right" not because we were looking for something better than RCCL. The Princess cruises just happened to be cheaper at that time. We finally came to the conclusion that we will now only go on RCCL and not worry about saving a little extra money!!

Well, what are your children's ages? If young (pre-school & elementary school) then Disney would be a good choice - though expensive.

If middle school or high school, then Carnival would also be a good choice.

I've been on five Carnival cruises and four Royal Caribbean cruises.

My kids are 16, 14, and 11. They do not want to do anything else but cruise now. The minute we got home they asked when the next cruise was.

I am feeling that RCCL met all of our needs. I would hate to be dissappointed going on any other cruise line. Judging from all your responses RCCL is at the top of your lists. I understand about the perks. The family we went with were Diamond members and yes they got perks. So it would be worth it to stay with RCCL.

My husbands family have been on many different cruises over the years. So during our last get together that's is what we talked about. The ones who went on RCCL said, "definitely the better cruises out there". Some had been on Princess, Carnival, and Norwegian. But RCCL stood out in the conversation. From dining to rooms to ports etc.

Being new to cruising, I just had to ask the experts out there.

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated.
