Has anyone used this option for their cruise docs, how does it work and will you still get a cruise ticket in the mail? I am considering this option for this cruise but I normally just wait until they mail my docs to me a few weeks prior to the cruise...

Are you referring to the online documents? That's pretty much the way of it these days with Carnival. The only real down side to it is not getting real baggage tags. I still prefer to get my documents in the mail. =docdance

I had to go down and rescue my luggage from the lost luggage pile next to the purser's desk. I could have made a luggage tag that was better than the one Carnival sent me.

So the docs are the same? Its like having the little blue folder with the ticket?

The documents are indeed the same materials that are in the little blue folder... it's just printed on your own printer.

I know you can get luggage tags on the dock before the cruise, I had to do that before when I had an upgrade before the cruise so the only downside is the luggage tags? I can take care of that on the dock before I board if that is the only problem...

The only other down side I can think of is....as you put so very well....It's all in the anticipation. Receiving your cruise documents package is always something exciting. Just not the same when you print them out of your own computer =docdance

BTW Chris, I have gotten my luggage tags on the dock many times. Never a problem.

I think I will wait, I like getting the little blue folders and I like how the excitement builds up waiting for the tickets, besides, let them pay for the postage, tickets cost enough for them to cover that, give a little to the post office, you know they have to be suffering since email began...
