I can tell you that in Feb. '05 we sailed the Radiance out of Miami on the Sunday of the Daytona 500 so while the kids and I were on deck, DH was in the sports bar watching the race...only problem being that as we began to sail out of port, we lost the signal with 15 laps to go...needless to say DH was not a happy camper....note to self, dont plan cruises the wkend of the Daytona 500...lol
to funny.........lol. Just know I had one unhappy racing fan...good thing they were walking around with all those frozen drinks...after a few, he forgot his disappointment...hehehe
It all depends on what satellite feeds are available based on the ship's position.
I was on Celebrity's Century a few years ago during the NCAA basketball final four. Some guy in the Martini Bar was growling at the waiter because he couldn't watch the "big game". Like it was the waiters fault =huh
If watching a major event on TV is important, it might prove helpful to choose a cruise date that won't conflict.
