We were planning on spending the day at Atlantis when we dock in Nassau, then I found out that we couldn't use the pools if we wanted to.
Now I'm not sure if we should go else where or stick with Atlantis.
We are interested in snorkeling or waverunners.
What did you like on Nassau?
Thanks for any info.

Some people have succesfully used the slides and pools at Atlantis; I guess the security guards were not paying much attention that day. Having said that, we have been to the Atlantis twice, and just walking around is awesome. I think everybody needs to see that place at least once in their lifetime. Depending how much time you have in Nassau maybe you can spend some time at the Atlantis and then find a beach.

If you want beach -- crystal palace or the hilton (yellow building by the pier). If you want pool, we stayed on the ship. It's so much nicer when it's not crowded.

What is Crystal Palace? What can you do at Hilton without paying for a room?

Rhonda, here is a link to Crystal Palace. <http://www.wyndham.com/hotels/NASBS/main.wnt>
The beach at the Hilton is on the harbour, I would take a taxi to Crystal Palace, walk into the casino, drop a few coins, walk out to the beach.

The number 10 bus will take you right to the Crystal Palace. It is connected to the Wyndham and the Radisson is next to it. You haven't truly been to the Bahamas unless you've ridden the number 10 bus!

I was just in Nassau last week and visited the Atlantis. It was awesome. The route we used was to book a room at the Comfort Suites (across street from Atlantis) . If you book at CS the Atlantis will allow you to use their slides , pools, and towels, and beach. The price we(wife and two daughters) paid was $211.00 . At the Atlantis the security guards did check folks for the correct wrist bands before allowing them on the slides. Based on what the cruise ships excursions go for (~ 40-50 $) this was a good deal for my family. I highly recommend it. P.S. Don't miss the Digs at Atlantis.
