Happy cruising!!

Hi There. I haven't thought about Manitou Springs for a long time. We vacationed there when I was a kid. It was a place along a creek and there were cabins. It was beautiful there.

Anyway, to answer your question, In Nassau I would recommend Cable Beach. It is on the Ocean side and it is where most of the big resorts are located. Less than $10 in a taxi. Most of the taxis outside the port want to take you to Paradise Island which is in the Harbor not on the Ocean. I had to be pretty insistant with the cabbie that I wanted Cable Beach not Paradise Island. The locals are there and will take you parasailing, banana boating, jet ski rentals, etc.

In Freeport we went to the beach by the Our Lucaya resort. Also a cheap taxi ride. It was very nice. There's a marketplace across the street with shops and a few bars. The Count Bassie Pavillion in the marketplace has nice entertainment and the bar just outside the Pavillion makes some great rum punch :beach:

Not sure about beaches at Key West because we went parasailing there. I do know there's a beach there at the southernmost point in the US.

Enjoy!

There is a nice free beach beside Atlantis at Nassau. It is called Cabbage Beach. You can easily walk from the hotel. Taxis are available over the hill at the beach and at Atlantis. Personally, I take a private excursion to Blue Lagoon Island and love it. It is a ferry boat ride over though, but well worth it. Great staff, good food, no vendors, and a nice beach on the lagoon.

Freeport; The other suggestion of the beach at Our Lucaya is what I do too. They have really fixed that area up with nice shops, casino, etc.

Key West; There is a man made beach (Key West is rock) called Smathers Beach and another Higgs Beach.

In Nassau, we head over to Cable Beach to the Wyndam and buy a day pass there. Great Beach, Giant pool with water slides, swim up bar, etc. This can be bought on the ship, but is much cheaper doing it on your own.
In Freeport, as stated above, Lucaya is the place to go.
Key West, we have been to Smathers Beach which was so so. We would much rather do the pub crawl!!!
