Nassau-Paradise Island-Booking A Room

We will be on Destiny in October and I'm looking at booking a room at one of the hotels to use it's ammenities on Paradise Island. I really don't care for Nassau's straw market or the rest of the island. I have been to cable beach before and was not impressed. I want a safe place for us to enjoy pool, restaurants, and beaches. Me, husband, and 2 kids.

The cheapest at Atlantis was over $450.00 and the Comfort Suites was around $250.00 with all the extra charges. It states on their website they have an agreement for all guest to be able and use Atlantis facilites. Has anyone ever done this? Is it worth it? And what is the best way to get from cruise ship over there?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Check in time for Atlantis is 3PM, same for Comfort Suites. Unless they will guarantee you early check in I wouldn't try it. You might be paying for a room that you would not have access to until 3.

You could do the day pass at Breezes All-Inclusive for less than $100 per person. Full use of all the facilities free food and drink and they have locker rooms to shower and change in for their day-use guests. It is on Cable Beach though. Susan and I have done the day pass at Breezes three times, most recently on April 25th. We love sailing on their Hobie Cats and their conch fritters.

Another thought for a hotel would be the British Colonial Hilton - Nassau which is within walking distance of the ships. It is right downtown, has a nice pool and a private beach. Much less expensive than Paradise Island. Again, check in time is 3PM so it could be a risk unless they guarantee you early check in.

I heard that breezes does not allow the kids. I spoke to both hotels and said they allow guest to use facilities if their room is not ready. I really just want the facilities so if they don't have the room ready it's not a big deal.

Still looking at other things too

Well, I know I have seen kidlettes at Breezes so if they don't allow them it could be just for day pass users but not sure about that.

If the hotels promise you use of the facilities then that's a good thing but that's a lot of $$ to spend for just the "facilities". Guests at comfort suites do have privelages at Atlantis so that sounds like the most economical for sure.

Whatever you decide I know you'll =funsign
