Last May we were on the Explorer of the Seas and we took a ferry to Paradise Island and walked (it was a very long walk & hot) to Atlantis and couldnt use their beach so we were directed to use the Sheraton beach access which was free to cruisers. I thought the undertoe was very strong, too many people selling stuff on the beach (I hate that). If you decide to go, I would recommend taking a cab though.

as jonsmom57 mentioned... DO NOT take the water ferry! We took it by mistake. It's more like a garbage scowl and they overfill the ferry. We had to wait almost 30 min. before it would leave because they wanted every square inch. Going back from the Atlantis to the ship we took a cab and the whole ride was 5-10 min. tops!

She is right about the ferry - they pile up as many people as they can - talk about a death trap.

Also, the fumes would just about knock you over.
