Navigator or Caribbean

Hi! I'm posting this thread on both Princess and Royal Caribbean Message Boards, in order to catch opinions from both cheer leaders :).
We intend to travel at the end of July, my wife, two daughters 13, 15, and me, it doesn't matter where, as we'd never cruise the Caribbean, and are in doubt between the Navigator of the Seas, and the Caribbean Princess.
Two big new ships, similar in various aspects. Navigator has a Promenade "street", a ice skating rink and a basket/volley ball court. Caribbean has a Terrace Pool, a Cafe Caribe (outside) and a paddle tennis court.
Which would you choose, and why? Thank you,

Caribbean Princess also has the Movies Under the Stars!

Wish I could help you make your decision but I have never sailed on either ship. The Caribbean Princess is newer though. I have sailed Princess many times and find they deliver a very good and consistent product. Perhaps you should let the price and itinerary dictate your choice. I'm sure you'll love whichever line you choose. Have fun making your decision.

We've sailed on the Adventure of the Seas, sister to the Navigator.
We've sailed on the Grand Princess, slightly smaller than the new Caribbean.

My sons, ages 14 and almost 12 would vote for the RCI ships because there's more to do and they have a great video game arcade, the rock wall, the ice skating rink, etc. We, my husband and I, loved to people watch while sitting at the Promenade Cafe (bar stools along the mall-like 'street'). They're both great ships, I'm sure, but we tend to pick what will make our kids happy because if they're happy, we're happy. :)

Have sailed on the Navigator (booked again on her 2006) and on the Grand (3 times), will do Caribbean Princess in July. With your girls, I would do the Navigator. I think the girls would be much happier on her. I also find that if it is just my wife and I, I prefer the Grand class. Laid back, more relaxing. When with friends I prefer RCCL or CCL as I find a more active night life/style. I think your girls may prefer the Western Caribbean also as both the Eastern and Western have shopping and beaches, but the Western, I feel, has many more activities for your girls to participate in. AND happy teenagers make for a better cruise! :)

Thank you very much Beryl, Lady Jaq and redcrown :)
The people at RCCL message board also recommend me the Navigator, for the same reasons: entertainment for the girls.
