see my comments on the Crown under NCL clean ships. nothing much else to compare it to but for us it was ideal !!!!  we loved the  outdoor open spaces. also the cafe italia on the penthouse deck has sweeping  ocean views and there was no cover charge...our favorite spot for dinner.
