Norwegian Cruise Line has important Information for you regarding an itinerary change to the Norwegian Dawn’s 7-day Bahamas & Florida, departing New York on Sunday, April 10th, 2005. All guests booked on this voyage need to be aware of this change, and travel professionals are kindly asked to forward this information to their clients.

Norwegian Dawn will need to arrive earlier into the Port of New York on Sunday. April 17 because of a previously unscheduled special event happening onboard the ship that day. We have amended the itinerary to Include a longer call at our very popular private island and an overnight call into Miami for guests to enjoy the city’s vibrant nightlife. We have, however had to cancel our call into Nassau, Bahamas on Friday. April 15

The revised itinerary is as follows:

4/10 Sun New York, New York Depart 4pm

4/11 Mon At sea

4/12 Tue Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida Arrive 10am Depart 9pm

4/13 Wed Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas Arrive 6:30am Depart 6pm

4/14 Thu Miami, Florida Arrive 7am

4/15 Fri Miami, Florida Depart 1am

4/la Sat At Sea

4/17 Sun New York. New York Arrive 5am

It turns out the unscheduled event was supposed to be a filming of an episode of the Apprentice with Donald Trump. Now they are saying that the Captain was under pressure to get to NY and took risks in a storm he should have to get back on sunday for the filming. NCL reportedly paid $1 million for the ship to be featured on the show. Not sure I believe the captain would take such risks but it does make you wonder.
