I am new, so please forgive me for repeating something that has already been stated...but I've been assisting many of my friends in making reservations for our Alaskan cruise on the Star next May, and I was quite pleasantly surprised when I found out about a 5% discount given for a multitude of reasons. It was only through casual conversation to a NCL representative that i mentioned that I was a teacher, when she told me that NCL offered a 5% discount for teachers...actually ANY union member gets a 5% discount off total room. Only 1 person in the room needs to qualify, and all rates for that room get a 5% discount. Not huge, but welcome!! As I said, I am working on us becoming a "group" and qualifying for the fun "group" perks, so I've been talking with my travel agent about my friends and family to find out that police, firefighters, military, and retired military all qualify. I recommend ASKING to see what discounts YOU may qualify for, too. So far, 4 of our itineraries all have a promo code in the upper left hand corner. =docdance

thanks for letting everyone know about the discounts NCL offers. I do want to clarify one thing: check closely about the group perks when using different discounts. Sometimes they will not allow this to be called a group unless you are all using the same. This happened to some of my clients recently on Carnival. We did book the correct number of cabins, but because some were under military discounts, others regular pricing it didn't qualify as a group. I have another one right with NCL that is falling into a similar situation. Just letting you know.

I do hope you get the group perks, they can really be fun..

Hello and new to this site, going on NCL Dream in Oct. to Bermuda, very nervous about the bad reviews. Has any one just come back from this cruise? Please advise,

no, infact in my opinion, don't book with AAA, they actually have higher pricing quite often. They certainly rarely offer good rates.
