We are going on a West Africa cruise mid November but 3 African ports have been dropped because of fuel efficiency. When I called about this I was told by the supervisor “Brian” that we are going to the Canary Islands and they are off the coast of Africa and this should count as Africa. And we were given a $100 on board credit for the change and he told me I should be very happy with that because usually they give nothing! I pointed out to him that it is no longer an Africa cruise he said they have a right to change ports for whatever reason. And the new ports are off the coast of Africa so we should be fine. If we wanted to see islands we would have booked a Caribbean cruise Not a West African cruise.
